Welcome to 2016 everyone!
We are now officially almost to 2016 everyone. As everyone make New Years Resolutions, I believe we also must realize one simple fact. Your past is your past. I recently have been getting back in touch with my spiritual side of my life. One of the main things that I have seen in myself is the willingness to beat myself up for my own mistakes. After all, this is the idea that our society puts on us. Specifically, I have been getting more back into touch with Christianity and Zen Buddhism. One common thing between these 2 ideas is the concept of forgiveness. So as we approach this New Year I believe it is important to remember these facts. People make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. It's a simple fact of human nature. Our society sometimes enforces the idea, that some people are just bad. This is the exact opposite of what we should strive for. In reality, the person is not bad. They just made a human mistake. So stop beating yourself up. I believe the major thing that our society is missing today is forgiveness. So lets stop the judgemental attitude that exists in our society. Let's stop trying to make people pay for their mistakes. It serves us no purpose at all. No matter how big the transgression. Forgiveness is still always the best option. Also, Happy 2016! Try not to celebrate to hard!
