Beating Your Anxiety with CBT
I far too well am familiar with anxiety and it's destructive effects on an individual. I for many years, and till this day, deal with high levels of anxiety. However, today I am stronger and more powerful over anxieties' ploys against my mind and I'm here to share what was that magic bullet.
IT WAS CBT BABY!
I found out about CBT in therapy for my mental health issues. Once I heard about what it can do, I ran with it like a wild man. CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This technique forces you to examine the situation at hand and base everything on factual evidence, versus your emotions or perceptions about the given situation.
You break down why you feel that way about a certain situation and pull at every angle possible. There are different elements incorporated into CBT. Black and White thinking and All or Nothing think are just two examples found in CBT.
