The Power of Journaling
Many believe that keeping a journal is only for teenage girls to keep their secrets. Though this is far from being the truth. Journaling holds amazing power to aide in your depression and improve your mental health and over all wellness.
Just like our bodies release waste in the restroom, your mind needs to do the same thing on paper. Allowing the negative thoughts, bad self-talk, pessimism or any other junk to flow out of your being and onto paper can be extremely therapeutic.
But what do I write about?
You write about anything! Anything that is on your mind at that moment. If your thinking "..Oh this is silly and doesn't work.." then write that exact sentence out. What is important here is that your getting what's upstairs (in your mind) and bring it downstairs (on to paper).
